Welcome to Sunside Shih Tzu!
Sunside Shih Tzu is a small, dedicated kennel located in Drumheller, Alberta. My name is Mae Sy-Macatangay, and I am the proud owner, handler, and breeder of Sunside Shih Tzu. My journey with Shih Tzus began in my childhood, guided by my mother, an esteemed FCI all-breed dog show judge, who mentored me every step of the way. Over the years, I have shown Shih Tzus in the Philippines, earning multiple Best in Show placements and developing a deep passion for this extraordinary breed. In 2006, my husband and I, both graduates of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the Philippines, relocated to Canada. Here, I continued my lifelong dedication to Shih Tzus. Today, Sunside Shih Tzu is proud to be the home of Best in Show and multiple Reserve Best in Show-winning Shih Tzu in Canada. I am a proud member of both the Canadian Kennel Club and the Canadian Shih Tzu Club, striving to uphold the highest standards in breeding, care, and presentation of this beloved breed.
